Welcome!Welcome to the Deering Middle School After School Program. Our program is designed to give our students an opportunity to grow as successful individuals both academically and socially.
Sponsored by 21st Century Learning Centers and operated by the YMCA of Greater Providence students at Deering Middle School have the opportunity to participate in a variety programs that assist academic performance and skill developement.
Breaking the Mold
Our program is not a childcare but rather it is a choice based enrichment model where students get to explore areas of interest to them. Each afternoon students receive a snack and then go into the activities they choose for the session. Activies vary in scope and can include homework help, sports, board games, sciences, the arts and more.
